The story begins on the kitchen counter of my Polish Grandmother in the 80's. In a small town called Bricktown in the Jersey Shore, my Grandmother on my fathers side made everything from scratch. This is where my love for food started. The smell of cooling baked goods, fresh Italian Lemon Ice churned in the basement and handmade pierogi on the weekends was enough to capture my attention as I grew up intrigued by the art. Fast forward to 2012 after a diverse culinary career, I decided to launch my own business for the first time. Columbus, Ohio was beginning to blossom in the food truck scene and I knew I had to go back to my roots. As the first PIEROGI on wheels, Sophie's Pierogi is still steadily growing with mobile cuisine, catering and private events! CALL US!
Growing up Polish in Parma, Ohio, I've had quite a few pierogi in my time. These were hands down the best potato ones I've ever had. And the toppings were perfect.
I had them for lunch today when the truck came to where I work, and after sending my wife a picture and telling her all about them, we might actually drive out to where they're parked for dinner to get them again!
Devine! The first time I've had Pierogi's and I'm hooked! The people who run the food truck are also very, very friendly.
Outstanding. I had to look to be sure that my Polish grandmother was not in the back of the truck!
Best Pierogi I've had since my grandma used to make them. Excellent service with a smile, can't wait to have them again!!
